i had the best birthday WEEK. ever.

on my actual birthday, the friends and i went out for delicious desserts and beverages. and then on to some drunken bowling. we never go bowling so it was super fun and out of the norm!

on thursday, i went to see brandi carlile and holy crap. i think it might have been the best of the three shows i've seen. the venue was amazing. couldn't have been better! but my camera stinks at taking pictures without the flash on so nothing turned out well enough to post. sad day.

friday night was drag queen show night. and damn myself for being a birthday girl. my friends made me go up on stage. they then proceeded to stuff dollar bills in places they should never be placed. and then removed by a drag queen's mouth. good times. or something.

on saturday we had a delicious potluck style dinner party at my house. it was so much fun! there was a wide variety of dishes and the most amazing totally homemade challah chocolate bread pudding.

i'm headed home this weekend for a fabulous halloween party and one last birthday event. wowza.

san diego makes me smile.

i know, i know.

i'm a super slacker.

i've been home for four-days and have yet to blog about amazing san diego.

it truly was an amazing weekend with amazing friends, food, drinks, sunshine, kite flying, and lots of laughter.

everyone else has already blogged the specifics so i'm just posting a few of my favorite pics.

i can't pick just one favorite moment from the weekend but i have to say that the kite flying ranked pretty high on the list. it was such a perfect day for it and i had the best kite EVAR. it might not have flown too high but it did tricks and avoided more than one near death experience.

our house was nothing short of amazing. amy did a fabulous job on picking it out. we could see the ocean from our balconies! it was perfect to a T.

i cannot wait for next years gathering--although i hope to see these amazing girls before then. i miss you all dearly!
